Corkscrew 5K
April 2016 – Blowing Rock
Weekend in Blowing Rock, a 5K, lots of wine and some amazing pancakes.
We stayed ad Chetola Resort and I ran the 5K. Cold morning, but we started with pre-run mimosas & red wine at the start, so things warmed up. For a 5K there were 5 wine stops – how I didn’t end up rolling down the last hill I am still not sure.
Post-race the students who were volunteering at the event pointed us to Melanie’s Pancakes in Boone. Best ones we’ve had (so far).
