Power For Purple 5K June 2023 – West End Nice race through a park and residential area. We really enjoyed the Sandhills region in general both for the 5k and jut playing tourist.

July 4th 5K July 2018 – Kernersville Another close to home race. Quick drive over and back to knock off a patriotic 5K in Forsyth county.The 5K was the pre-show for the actual parade that day. People were already setting up for the parade so we had a lot of people cheering us on.
Seaboard Festival 5K October 2024 – Hamlet 5K tied to a Seaboard Train festival. Nice run through town before the festival kicked into gear. Good weather and a cute town. After pancakes we made it back into town to checkout the festival & Seaboard Train museum.
Tuna Run 200 – leg #2 October 2015 – Pink Hill Overnight, Leg 2 was near Pink Hill. Back farm country and one scary cemetery. Was really, really happy to see the team van with my mid-leg checkin about then.
