Run Wild at the Zoo 5K
June 2014 – Asheboro
Back in 2014 I had not yet come up with the idea of all 100 counties. I did know I loved the idea of a run through the NC Zoo. The hills there scared me. I was unbelievably nervous about the run. Jerry & Nancy joined us that morning and Jerry stayed with me every step.
This is the day I learned what a PR is. (Personal Record – Nancy had to explain it to me.)
All I knew as we came up to the finish was I was a smidge quicker than I had been in Wilmington. I beat my prior time by three seconds, but it felt like a million!!
