43 – Harnett
Shamrock Shuffle 5K
March 2026 – Lillington
Day trip to Lillington for the Shamrock Shuffle and my first 5K of the season. Great weather, slightly cloudy and 59 degrees at race start. Quiet race through residential neighborhoods. Not a lot of people out nor much traffic that morning. One home did have an unofficial water station for us, leprechaun included.
After pancakes at Sweet Magnolias we were off to Purple Bloomers Lavender farm only to find out they don’t open until June. From there to Raven Rock park for a few easy trails.
Nice area, and will definitely be back after June 1st for the farm & some different trails at Raven Rock.
