Seaboard Festival 5K October 2024 – Hamlet 5K tied to a Seaboard Train festival. Nice run through town before the festival kicked into gear. Good weather and a cute town. After pancakes we made it back into town to checkout the festival & Seaboard Train museum.

Raleigh’s Finest 5K July 2014 – Raleigh A couple weeks later was a 5K in downtown Raleigh. This is the day we discovered Big Ed’s. The firetrucks were out and even started the race which was very cool.
Road to Hope 7th Inning Stretch 5KAugust 2022 – Shelby Nice flatish run considering we were well into the hills. Out and back around the high school. Volunteers from the Road to Hope bike crew led the race. Weather cooperated and stayed in the 70s for us. Even so the misting tent at the end…
Rhododendron Festival 10K June 2024 – Bakersville Beautiful area, and a surprisingly flat run considering how far into the mountains we were. Weather was perfect. Started in town, out along a creek and then back in. We looped around so I got to see Chris at one point.
