This started with my wanting to run for Fidelco Guide Dogs. I am proud and grateful that so many supported my efforts – we raised over $1000 for a fantastic charity.
I have never before or since experienced a race like this. Hartford brings it and then some for this race. For 13.1 miles not a lawn, parking lot or sidewalk didn’t have people out cheering & supporting runners. It was amazing! Individuals, businesses, churches, random DJs, everyone giving high fives, costumes, and even pancakes! The whole distance! It was impossible to get down or start to flag on this run because someone was right there to lift you up & share their energy with you.
