Cherokee Harvest 5K
October 2018 – Cherokee
We jumped on this one when it turned up. Little did we know just how much we would love the area!
The race morning was rainy, foggy and cold. Even so it was a fun run, and very flat considering were in the mountains. The post-race food was provided by the casino and was amazing! Better than I have had at some restaurants.
By lunch time race day the sun was out and we had a fantastic weekend. Never did get to the casino, but made it to the museum and village. Sunday we spent toodling along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Stunning area, can’t wait to get back!
